Volunteer opportunities for the UrbanPlan program in Detroit include but are not limited to; serving as a member on the UrbanPlan (Planning) Committee, working with students as a mentor/team advisor, challenging students to think more critically as a facilitator, serving as a mock city council member, sharing best practices with students as a guest speaker, and acting as a liaison between ULI Michigan and Detroit schools and community organizations as a school champion.

UrbanPlan volunteers are selected from experienced land use and real estate development professionals within the ULI District Council area. To be considered for a volunteer role, we ask that applicants have a schedule flexible enough to allow for attendance in the 1-day virtual volunteer training, and for participation during the execution of the program.
